Logo Design
One of my favorite aspects of design are logos. Logos are a powerful tool for businesses looking to grow their audience. A perfect logo takes time and consideration to create.
Below are some of the logos I have created over the years for businesses. All of these logos are still in use and loved by the clients.
Spinnaker Media Group, Inc.
Spinnaker is a freelance media group that provides advertising and other design solutions to growing businesses. They originally hired me to design their logo, and then I became their Art Director.
I used simple shapes to create a traditional spinnaker. I then added a sun to emphasize the concept of a boat out on a lake. I used their name to act as the water. The logo is still loved and used by the group today.
Make Waves
Make Waves is a plant based restaurant in downtown Milwaukee that serves smoothies, wave bowls, and more. The restaurant reached out to me for a logo they needed before their big opening.
I came up with many ideas, incorporating smoothies and bowls. They felt a reference to their wave bowls would be the most appropriate. I came up with a top down view of the bowl with a wave forming and a straw going through. I then had their name circle the logo to keep it compact. The logo is now utilized in all their branding from their products to uniforms.
ARTgard
ARTgard is a brand developed by ArtLine LTD. using the material AMGARD. ARTgard is acrylic art originally developed during the COVID-19 pandemic to prevent the spread of germs. The artwork is highly durable and can withstand hospital cleaners.
ArtLine needed a logo that encompassed the product. I came up with a logo combining the three main concepts: germs, protection, and art. I represented germs through freeform shapes. I then combined a shield and calligraphy pen to highlight the concepts of protection and fine art. The logo is now featured on all their ARTgard product tear sheets.
